NEC/AAAE Leadership Symposium Grant

Grant Overview
In January 2024, AAAE provided the NEC with a $20,000 check to be used for leadership development, scholarships and internships. NEC leadership elected to utilize the funding to provide leadership and grant opportunities for young industry professionals.
To date, the NEC has used approximately $10,000 on Leadership grants. Grant award winners will be attending NEC conferences and completing their Certified Member certifications through AAAE.
In June of 2024, we will be utilizing the balance of the funding to host our first ever Leadership Development Symposium. This event will be held in Morristown, New Jersey on June 12-13.
The Leadership Development Symposium will be run by T.J. Holloway from the Holloway Group LLC. More information on the Holloway Group can be found here: https://hollowaygroupllc.com/about/
In return for being selected for Leadership Development Symposium, the NEC would ask that those who are invited to attend, receive approval from their company to attend the NEC Annual Conference in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, August 11-13, 2024. T.J. Holloway will attend the conference and will provide an additional leadership session at the conference Symposium candidates.
This symposium will be open to 16 Airport Candidates and 4 Corporate Candidates.
We would request that you provide your recommendations for the class by April 1 so that candidates can be selected with enough time to make travel arrangements.
Eligibility:
- Young Professionals with 3-7 years experience in the industry
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory or management function
- Must have supervisor support to attend the symposium
- Your organization must agree to cover costs to attend NEC Annual Conference in Portsmouth, NH August 11-13, 2024
Each Grant Includes:
- Leadership Development Course
- Hotel lodging during the event
- Lunch/Dinner
Recipients are Responsible for:
- Travel arrangements to and from Morristown, NJ
