Session One: Impacts of Covid-19 on 2020-21 Airport Snow and Ice Control Plans
This session will focus on the changes to the Airport Snow and Ice Control Plans (SICP) caused by the Pandemic. The discussion will focus on changes in the SICP to meet a different level of Airport Aeronautical Activities, changes to the Human Factors to protect the Snow Fighters from COVID-19, and potential changes to Airline Operations during winter weather events due to the impact of COVID-19 on the Airline Business Models.

Session Two: Financial Impacts of Airport Winter Operations
This session will focus on the expenditure side of winter operations and the value of lost revenue. With the current disruption to air service, airports need to measure the level of response to the level of air service. This session will discuss the hard decisions to be made by several airports that now need to evaluate how much effort should be expended in keeping surfaces open.

Session Three: Contracts and Contractors
This session will discuss the utilization of Contract Snow Removal, the costs associated with Contract Snow Removal, and the type of contractors providing Contract Snow Removal. This session will also compare the different types of contract language. The session will discuss what responsibilities contractors and airports share and what responsibilities the airport retains.

Session Four: Understanding Winter Weather Forecasting
This session will discuss what causes winter weather. The session will define terms used by weather forecasters. This session will discuss the basic information contained within a forecast that allows the airport to prepare a detailed response. This session will discuss how to plan an accurate response to a inaccurate forecast. This session will provide tools to help airports develop a specific response to a nonspecific forecast. This session will discuss the trend of the upcoming winter season.

Session Five: 2020 Spring Winter Events
During this session airports that experienced late spring winter storms will discuss how they responded and protected their staff. These Airports will provide information on lessons they learned. These airports will describe their decision making efforts and what they would do differently.

Session Six: What’s New in Airport Snow Removal Equipment and Materials
During this session the presenters will provide insight of changes to Snow Removal Equipment (SRE), changes to materials and changes to application of existing equipment. This session will provide attendees the opportunity to become aware of the efforts the (SRE) manufacturers have put forth to modernize equipment and processes for successful winter weather mitigation at airports. Airport experts will present recent changes they have made in recent purchases or applications of existing equipment. This session will provide available knowledge and opportunities that may help keep Snow Fighters safe while operating SRE during the Pandemic and in the future.
